A translucent purple banded fluorite from the Blue John Cavern in Derbyshire is set in simple sterling silver bezel, sitting on top of a hand-sawn and filed sterling silver feather. It hangs on an 18 inch sterling silver trace chain.
Blue John fluorite can only be found in Derbyshire, England, where it has been mined for centuries, including at a very small scale to this day. It was handcrafted into this stunning statement ring in my studio in Chiswick.
